Boss Air Bags Leaf Assist Kit Mazda B-Series 4x4

Boss Suspension offer a range of air suspension solutions for your leaf sprung rear 4x4. This airbag leaf suspension assist kit will not only increase your load carrying capacity but it will also improve the overall handling of your vehicle with a load in the rear. By levelling your ride height with the air bag kit, you retain standard steering and braking feel and the effect of body roll due to a higher COG with more mass with be minimised by providing a more stable platform for the load to be transported on.

The Air Bag kit offers the ultimate in flexibility for the use of your vehicle. Heavy duty rear springs do not give you this flexibility. Ever driven a go cart? That's what a Heavy Duty rear leaf sprung vehicle feels like with no load! You have the option of releasing the air to a minimum pressure to retain standard vehicle suspenion ride. Then, when you load it up with your motorbikes, tools or firewood, you increase the pressure of the bags until a level ride height is achieved.

This air bag kit is rated to a maximum load of 2.5T. From past experience the average dual cab ute with 1000kg load in the rear will need 15 to 20psi of air to maintain a level ride height. This is vehicle dependant and only a guide. The correct process to gain the best performance out of your airbag kit is:

1. Air bags at minimum inflation for normal road use (2-3psi) unloaded.
2. Load the vehicle.
3. Inflate airbags ONLY enough to achieve a level ride height. By doing this, you are not only achieving best performance from your kit, but you are also allowing all of the suspension components to share the extra load of the vehicle and not putting any unecessary pressure on the bag, its mounts or the spring and spring mounts.
